Orchard Lea
The property
Traditional on the outside and modern on the inside, there aren’t many cottages that strike the right balance between both. But Orchard Lea is one of them.
It’s a cottage that’s as big in size as it is in character. Because if there’s one thing you’re not short of, it space. There’s bucket loads of it.
4 big bedrooms, a roomy kitchen-diner and a large living area combine to make the cottage ideal for bigger families and large groups of friends.
In the annexe, guests can enjoy unfettered access to a huge hot tub, and outdoor garden seating that overlooks the spectacular landscape.
This cottage comes with more than five stars – venture into the garden on a clear night, look up, and you’ll find thousands of them dotted across the sky.
And while you won’t get towels folded into fancy animal shapes, you will get an experience that gives you value for money.
That, we can promise.
The area
When it comes to surroundings, you’ve got the best views in the world right on your doorstep: the English countryside.
Kayak along with Wye Valley River, ride the Dean Forest railway, and trek the trails of Malvern Hills that stretch as far as your legs will take you.
Other popular attractions that are nearby include Clearwell Caves, Hopewell Colliery, and the ancient forest of Puzzlewood.
You don’t have to go far to wet your whistle. The local pub is only a few dozen footsteps away – serving food and drink till 10pm most nights. *Re-opening in Spring 2025.
A little further down the road is the village shop that stocks all the essentials you could need – and all the things you might have forgot to bring.
Further afield is the market town of Ross-on-Wye, and further than that there’s the outstanding cathedral cities of Hereford and Gloucester.
